The UK government’s Global Entrepreneurs Programme, which was launched in India last year, is entering a new phase with the appointment of a ‘Dealmaker’ for India.

UK Trade & Investment, which runs GEP, announced the appointment of Alpesh Patel as a ‘Dealmaker’. Patel has an impressive track record both as an entrepreneur and supporter of entrepreneurship. He is the fifth Dealmaker appointed by GEP and the first to operate in India.

The Global Entrepreneurs Programme (GEP) champions new business ideas by bringing together entrepreneurs and those who can best guide them towards success in the UK. GEP was first launched in the US and following its success there is being introduced in India.

UK Trade & Investment is the government organization that provides integrated support services for UK companies engaged in overseas trade and foreign businesses focused on the UK as an inward investment location.
