David beat Goliath in New York on 4 October as Pro-Link GLOBAL, a boutique global immigration firm, knocked KPMG out of the finals for the Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards (EMMAs).

Pro-Link GLOBAL are proud to be winners in both our shortlisted categories for the Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards (EMMAs).

At a ceremony in New York on October 4th, we were awarded Highly Commended in the Best Legal Services Provider category and Highly Commended in the Global Mobility Professional of the year category, for which our founder and Senior Counsel, Andrea Elliott, was nominated.
Pro-Link GLOBAL was originally nominated in the Best Legal Services Category alongside big names such as Fragomen, Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), Deloitte, Ernst & Young(E&Y), KPMG and HA&W. We knocked out both Deloitte and Fragomen at shortlist stage and joined PwC, E&Y, KPMG and HA&W as finalists in New York.

First prize in the Best Legal Services category went to Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), a global giant with over 160,000 employees. Second place was awarded to Ernst & Young (E&Y) – another heavyweight (141,000 employees). The crowd were expecting KPMG to take third – but a place on the winners’ podium had been reserved for a little company with big ideas – Pro-Link GLOBAL was delighted to be awarded the Highly Commended certificate, beating both KPMG and HA&W to it.

Pro-Link GLOBAL is a company that is proud to be different. We offer professional, top class immigration consultancy to every country in the world. We match the big companies with our technology (customize reports, real time access to data, web based training), our knowledge (over 90 years of cumulative expertise in global immigration and a combined total of 40 years experience supporting Relocation Services. Over 80% of our team is multilingual, with 17 languages spoken fluently. Our team is both versatile and diverse) and our professionalism (many of our employees are Six Sigma certified and we’re currently undergoing ISO certification).

But we have some big ideas too. We all work virtually – all our consultants work from home offices. Our carbon footprint is virtually zero and we can meet client requests for late night or early morning conference calls with ease. Our consultants all use Web 2.0 technology every day – we use web conferencing tools routinely and are active on Facebook and Linked In. We encourage philanthropy –all staff members are given one day a quarter to donate to the charity of their choice, and we donate financial resources at corporate level. We really care about our clients – we want to know more about them, to understand what they do and why they do it – we want to be able to fit into their corporate culture and become more than just a service provider.

And we manage our suppliers differently too – Our co-counsels and local vendors are part of our Keiretsu Global Network. Keiretsu is a Japanese term used to describe a grouping or family of affiliated companies that form a tight-knit alliance to achieve each other’s mutual success. We truly offer a global service with local connections, because our local partners are trusted partners; not just suppliers.

The first and second prize winners in the Best Legal Services category were over 1000 times bigger than Pro-Link GLOBAL. We were proud to be Highly Commended – but we are even prouder of the great team we have. Our colleagues, our co-counsels and our clients make us the winning team. Thank you.
