The 8th annual Paws in Motion walk-a-thon, sponsored by the Humane Society of Manatee County (HSMC) is one of the largest fundraisers the HSMC holds each year in order to help support their general operations fund. This year the event was held down at the Bradenton River Walk on a cool day that featured a high in the low 70’s. The Pro-Linkers that participated in this event included Michael Dinsmore, April Galati, Jeanette VerCammen, Andrea Elliott, Ian Juul and Christen Gause. They helped set-up tables and chairs for the over 30 vendors that participated in the event, sold raffle tickets to the public, hung banners and assisted with the Doggie Fun Zone. When the event was over they broke down the tables and chairs and made sure we left the area clean.

The event brought in over $60,000 in raised funds from over 400 walkers (all of whom received a “Wag Bag”), vendors and miscellaneous funds from the general public. There were food trucks, raffle prizes, chiropractic neck scans and giveaways of some sort at almost every vendor table. Overall, the team had a great time and some are looking forward to helping out at next year’s walk-a-thon;

“Once again a big thank you from me to my PLG cast for the support at this event and I look forward to finding other events in our local community to participate in.” – Michael Dinsmore
