The exit and entry department of Dalian’s Public Security Bureau (PSB) has recently announced that the requirement for foreign nationals to re-register with the local police station every time they re-enter China is now no longer required. Instead, police registrations will be valid for one year and will only need to be amended if there is a change in personal details: i.e. passport number, visa number or residential address.

The registration requirement for each entry to China is still in place in other provinces across China.

It is also important to note that the rule is relatively new, and therefore local police stations in Dalian may still be enforcing the previous regulations. Therefore, if you live in Dalian, or have colleagues or employees who do, please check with your Pro-Link GLOBAL Immigration Specialist before ceasing to arrange registrations, so that we can confirm details with your local police station.
