Everyone loves Quacky and she is working hard to bring fun to Manatee County! As the primary fundraiser for PACE Center for Girls, the Lucky Ducky Race for PACE is really about changing the lives of girls in Manatee County. PACE values all girls and young women, believing each one deserves an opportunity to find her voice, achieve her potential and celebrate a life defined by responsibility, dignity, serenity and grace.

The 5th Annual Lucky Ducky Race for PACE is a rubber duck derby benefiting PACE Center for Girls. Quacky is the PACE centers mascot who can be seen all over Manatee County, encouraging everyone she meets to adopt her little ducklings.

Sharon and Christen assisted  80 other volunteers at PACE Center for Girls to put stickers on 15,000 rubber ducks. Sharon brought her daughter and granddaughter to help and Christen brought both of her daughters to help. The ducks will be used for the annual duck race. Individuals purchase a duck for $20. All the ducks are put into the river and the winner of the race wins a $5,000 gift card to a local grocery store. The annual Race for Pace raises over $80,000 for our local chapter of Pace. Pace is an organization located throughout the USA that supports many local homeless girls or girls in foster care by providing them with a place to live, supporting them to ensure they go to school and ensuring they have the tools they need  to become successful.
